Welcome to Delm! This guide will help you understand how Delm works and how you can quickly display accurate delivery dates on your product pages.

How Delm works

Unlike other apps, Delm separates display from calculation.

The Widget (Display): Added via App Blocks or Liquid code, this is what the customer sees. It is context-aware: it detects the customer's country (IP), language, and selected variant, and sends this "Context" to the calculation engine. It then displays the result using dynamic placeholders (e.g., {{ delivery_completed }}) instead of hardcoded dates.
The Rules (Calculation): These determine what date is shown. The engine receives the context from the widget and applies your specific rules for processing, shipping, transit, and delivery.

Why the separation? We centralize calculation settings to avoid duplication and help you scale. You define your rules once, and they apply to every widget. If you need to change a schedule, you do it in one place, and it updates everywhere automatically.

Delm calculates dates in a specific 5-step workflow to ensure accuracy.

Using app block

With the Delm Widget block, widgets can be easily integrated via the Shopify visual theme editor, without the need for programming skills.

Delm + UpCart

UpCart is a Shopify cart drawer solution designed to improve the checkout experience and boost conversions. Integrating Delm’s delivery date widget lets customers see estimated delivery times directly in the cart, making checkout decisions easier.

Limitations

Currently, product-specific delivery dates are not supported in UpCart’s cart drawer. This feature would require UpCart to support custom HTML for each cart item and provide access to product variant IDs.

Steps

Enable the "Delm Core" app embed in your Shopify theme settings to allow widgets to display on your storefront.

In UpCart’s cart editor, go to the "Custom HTML" section and select "Below checkout button" as the placement. Add the following code:

To use a specific widget with custom text or styles, add the data-widget-id attribute. You can find the widget ID in the Delm app under the Widgets section.

To set transit times for different countries or regions, go to the "Transit time" section in Delm and click "New rule".
