How do I set a future processing start date for pre-order products?

When managing pre-order products, you may want to delay order processing until a specific future date. This can be easily configured using the "Start date" field in the processing schedule.

Why set a future start date?

For pre-orders, customers can place their orders in advance while the processing begins on a scheduled date, such as when the product becomes available. This ensures that your estimated delivery dates reflect accurate timelines and align with product availability.

Guide

To set a future processing start date for pre-order products, navigate to the "Processing schedule" section in Delm and click "New rule".

New rule setup

Set conditions that target pre-order products, such as Tag, Collection, or Vendor, to ensure the rule applies to the correct products.

Add product-specific conditions

In the scheduling section, find the "Start date" field and enter the future date when processing should begin (e.g., the product launch or availability date). Leave it blank for immediate processing.

Set start date

Save the rule and test it in the "Test data" section to ensure the start date and conditions work correctly.
