Why is the widget not showing up?

If the delivery widget is missing from your store, it is usually due to a missing app block or a visibility rule hiding the app. Use this checklist, sorted by the most common causes, to get it back online.

1. Delm Delivery Widget block missing

The most common reason the widget doesn't appear is that it hasn't been added to your theme layout yet.

  • How to fix: Go to your Shopify Theme Editor > Product page. In the sidebar, click Add block, select Delm Delivery Widget, and drag it into position. Ensure you click Save.

2. Product hidden by a visibility rule

You might have a rule that is intentionally (or accidentally) hiding the widget for certain items.

  • How to check: Go to General > Visibility in the Delm app. Look for any "Hide app" rules.
  • The Preview tool: Use the Preview section in the app to test the specific product. It will show you if a visibility rule is currently set to "Hide."

3. Language missing in widget

Delm detects your store's current language. If you are viewing your store in a language that hasn't been added to your widget settings, the widget will stay hidden.

  • How to fix: Open your widget in the Delm app and ensure the language you are testing in is listed in the translations. If it's missing, add it and re-apply your template.

4. Widget is not published

If your widget is still in Draft mode, it will only be visible to you inside the Shopify Theme Editor for testing.

  • How to fix: In the Widget section of the Delm app, ensure the status of your widget is set to Published.

5. App is disabled

The "Delm Core" engine must be active in your theme for any widgets to function.

  • How to fix: Go to your Shopify Theme Editor, click on the App embeds tab on the left sidebar, and ensure Delm Core is toggled ON.

6. Incorrect widget ID in app block

If you have multiple widgets, the app block needs to know which one to display.

  • Check the ID: In the Shopify Theme Editor, click the Delm Delivery Widget block. Check the Widget ID field. Ensure it matches your widget's ID exactly and has no extra spaces or characters.
  • Default widget: If the ID field is empty, Delm will try to show your "Default" widget. Ensure you have one widget marked as the default in the app.

7. Monthly view limit exceeded

Each Delm plan has a monthly limit for widget views.

  • Check your usage: Go to the Account or Billing section in the Delm app. If you have reached 100% of your limit, the widgets will stop appearing until the next billing cycle or until you upgrade to a higher plan.

8. No widgets created

It sounds simple, but the app block cannot display anything if there are no widgets saved in the app.

  • How to fix: Ensure you have at least one widget created and configured in the Widget section of the Delm app.
