How can I hide delivery dates?
By default, Delm is pre-configured to hide the delivery widget for any product that is unavailable. If there are other specific items or customer locations where you don't want the widget to appear, you can use visibility rules to control this.
Setting up visibility rules
You can manage these settings under General > Visibility. A visibility rule can be set to either Hide app or Show app.
Common use case: hiding gift cards
Since gift cards are delivered via email and don't require physical shipping, displaying a delivery date can be confusing for customers.
- Go to General > Visibility.
- Click Create rule and set the action to Hide app.
- Add a Condition and select Product.
- Choose your gift card products.
- Save your rule.

Hiding based on shipping country
You may want to only show delivery dates for countries where you have reliable shipping estimates.
- To show only for specific countries: Create a "Show app" rule with a Shipping country condition for your supported regions, and ensure a "Hide app" rule is placed at the bottom as your default.
- To hide for specific countries: Create a "Hide app" rule with a Shipping country condition for the regions you wish to exclude.
Important note on shipping country detection
By default, Delm uses the customer's IP address to detect their location and decide whether to show or hide the widget.
If your store has a country selector and you want Delm to follow the country the customer has manually picked instead of their IP address:
- Go to your Shopify Admin > Online Store > Themes > Customize.
- Open App embeds on the left sidebar.
- Find Delm Core and locate the Shipping address source setting.
- Change it to Current store country.

Best practices for visibility
Understanding pre-configured rules
Upon installation, Delm adds a default visibility rule to Hide app when Product Availability is "Unavailable." This ensures that customers don't see delivery promises for items they cannot currently buy.
Order matters
Like all rules in Delm, visibility rules are checked from top to bottom.
- If you want to hide specific items (like gift cards), place those "Hide app" rules at the top of your list.
- If you only want the app to show in certain scenarios, make sure your last rule is a "Hide app" rule with no conditions (your default).
